If you're looking for a unique escape into nature without sacrificing comfort, Banbas Chitwan is the place to be. From the moment you step onto the property, you’re greeted with the soothing sounds of the jungle and an atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in a hidden paradise. The rooms are a standout feature of the hotel. Spacious, tastefully decorated, and designed to blend seamlessly with the lush surroundings, they offer an incredibly cozy vibe while still embracing the wild spirit of the jungle. Large windows allow natural light to flood the space, and you can often hear birds chirping and leaves rustling – it’s the perfect way to unwind and reconnect with nature. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring you get a restful night's sleep after a day of exploration. As for food, the hotel delivers some truly delicious offerings. The on-site restaurant serves a variety of dishes, from local delicacies to international favorites. The flavors are fresh and vibrant, perfectly complementing the jungle vibe. I particularly loved the fresh seafood and tropical fruit juices that felt like an extension of the surroundings. The entire hotel is well-maintained, and the staff are welcoming and friendly, always eager to help make your stay memorable. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning on your private terrace or taking a guided walk through the jungle to explore wildlife, you’re constantly surrounded by the natural beauty of the area. Overall, Banbas Chitwan offers a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, with stunning rooms and incredible food. Whether you're an adventure-seeker or someone looking to unwind, this place is definitely worth considering for your next getaway. Highly recommended!

Banbas Resort is truly a serene retreat tucked away in the heart of the jungle. From the moment you enter, you’re surrounded by calm — the sounds of birds, the sight of kingfishers, and the deep greenery that instantly slows you down. The property feels personal, thoughtfully built with a story behind every corner — and you can sense that love and detail in its architecture and atmosphere. Even in less pleasant weather, the natural surroundings and peaceful vibe make everything feel just right. The rooms are beautiful and comforting, offering just what you need to disconnect from stress and reconnect with nature. If you’re looking for a calming escape away from the rush of daily life, this is where you’ll find it. Highly recommended for anyone craving peace, nature, and authenticity.

Positive: The grounds of the resort are wonderful, as is the swimming pool overlooking the natural pond area. For the resort grounds, pool and rooms, there is definitely a 5 star feel (some maintenance needed on the wooden steps to our room - 308) The waiting staff in the restaurant were very friendly and professional. They made it feel more like a luxury resort. Negative: Reception not so helpful and on the last day my husband was surprised at how rude the woman was that needed to prepare the bill. The food was good although we were a bit surprised with the breakfast buffet. It was only a continental breakfast (breads and cereals), very uninspiring. We asked for omelette breakfast, which we had, but we did not know if this was possible. Better communication to guests would be helpful. The resort was located out of the main area of sauraha, although this was okay as we had our own vehicles. The hotel could also contact a tuk tuk driver if we wanted, which was helpful. Our stay really turned strange when the pool attendant got into the pool in his clothes and started to talk to fellow guests. In my many years of travelling, this has never happened. There's obvious reasons as to why this is not appropriate. Then we saw one of the senior staff members making a video when my husband and son were in the pool. My husband had to tell him to stop recording. These incidents do not happen in 3 star resort, and definitely shouldn't happen in a 5 star. We raised the issue with the resort manager, and his response felt quite dismissive - explaining the pool attendant might have been maintaining the pool. No, he wasn't he was swimming as a guest would. Accept it, apologise, and say you'll address it immediately. More staff training is definitely needed. It's a mixed review, really. One of the owners had said it was similar to the Barahi Jungle lodge. The grounds - yes, they're amazing, but we often return to places because of the people (and we didn't come away with a good vibe about this - bar the waiting staff) Despite the strange staffing issues, I would still recommend a visit as the pool is wonderful but at the moment it is not a 5 star service. Hopefully the senior management will use feedback to better manage staff members and deliver a higher standard of hospitality for their future guests.
