“Top of Nagarkot” but More Like Bottom of Standards. I had one of the worst resort experiences here. The room was dirty the moment we entered, mud on the floor, slippers not clean, and even the washroom was in a terrible state. The washroom accessories were old, wooden, and clearly overdue for replacement. Everything felt unhygienic. Food was equally disappointing. We ordered the veg thali, and despite expectations of a proper spread, there was no paneer or mushroom. We were given only dal, bhat, tarkari, acchar, and some very bad French fries. Even the spoons had visible dirt on them, completely unacceptable for any dining service. To make matters worse, the customer support staff member who approached us came up smoking and smelling of it, not exactly a welcoming or professional gesture. What makes it even more frustrating is that I booked this place after being told it was “the resort on the top of Nagarkot with the best service.” In reality, it felt like a textbook case of “expectations vs reality.” They do claim the new rooms in the new building are better, but I was not given a chance to see them. Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this resort to anyone expecting cleanliness, good food, or decent service.
