All things considered I was taken by surprise by how this hotel functions. On arrival the receptionist told me I could eat at the hotel in the evening as long as I would order before 8pm. The hotel owner had a private birthday party going with a lot of noise that came up to the room where I was supposed to find rest. Granted, the room was big, the bed very nice and it had been a while since I was able to take a bath. That was very welcome. The rooms however are very bland and don’t make me feel like I’m in Nepal at all… If it weren’t for the view I could’ve been anywhere in the world. I don’t know why a previous reviewer says this is a quiet stay in the middle of the nature. Aside from the view of Annapurna there is little nature to be found here as the hotel is situated right beside a noisy road that is used to bring tourists up the mountain for their zipline or paragliding experience. When I went down from my room to order myself diner I felt like I was interupting the party that was going on. I tried to order chow mein which is an item they should have because it’s on their very limited menu, but the receptionist said that they don’t have it. They only have fried chicken wings. When I said that this surprised me as I was told I could have diner here, he answered very smug: this is an hotel, not a restaurant. When asked if there are restaurants nearby. He replied that there are some up the hill… So there I was walking in the dark on a busy road looking for my diner. I am giving this hotel 2 out of five stars for the room with a view and because the breakfast was nice.
