My partner and me stayed for around two weeks and booked a great hike here! It is run by an incredibly warm and generous local family. The rooms were very clean and the view of Mount Fishtail right from the balcony was an absolute highlight. (I attached a picture from that beautiful view!) The location is perfect, the lake is less than 10 minutes away and there are tasty restaurants everywhere around, but you can relax in the room without any noise as well. We also booked our 9-days hike here, which was very easy and everything was well organised. My favourite part of the was talking to the family, getting to know them better and picking up cooking tips for a homemade dhal bat. What a lovely experience! I am very grateful for this time and hope to come back soon. All the best to you!

Un super séjour dans cet hôtel familial! Après un séjour en couple, puis avec un groupe de 11, j'ai toujours été parfaitement accueilli. La propreté est irréprochable, la famille a toujours était au petit soin pour nous. Les chambres ont tout le confort nécessaire. Le quartier est calme tout en étant à quelques pas du lac. I ended up staying in the mountain house for several weeks. The family is so welcoming and kind and the home-made yoghurt and fresh organic vegetables and fruit are just amazing! The whole hotel including rooms are very, very clean! I can recommend this hotel 100 % and am already looking forward to coming back at some point! They also have a nice roof top with amazing view over the mountains and a yoga & meditation room with yoga mats. In general this place is very calm but still it only takes a 5 min walk to lakeside. The Mountain House it is the best place I could ever stay in Pokhara, it is quiet and close to the bustling city center. The rooms are very spacious, with new curtains and the furniture remodel one can tell that The Mountain House has been to a thoroughly renovation. The hotel is sparkling clean, with the advantage of being eco-friendly. A nice relaxing garden, a breathtaking view of Machhapuchhare, and words into deed Naveen provides his guests with excellent guides and trekking packages suitable for all ages and fitness levels. But the best thing is a warm welcome by Mrs. Indira, a true hostess, very polite, makes you feel at ease, always caring about her guests well-being, she remind me of my mother... Pokhara, Nepali hospitality at its best, that's how Mrs. Indira, her husband and son Naveen welcome and attend to their guest. Much obliged. I will definitely stay at The Mountain House hotel again.
