Tucked away just a few steps from the majestic Boudhanath Stupa, this unique hotel—once a monastery—offers one of the most peaceful and soul-nourishing stays in Kathmandu. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by an atmosphere of quiet reverence and timeless charm. The architecture has been lovingly preserved, with prayer wheels, antique wooden carvings, and vibrant Tibetan details woven into every corner. My room overlooked a small inner courtyard where monks once meditated—now a tranquil garden space perfect for morning tea or quiet moment. Staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, embodying the spirit of hospitality that feels deeply rooted in Buddhist culture. The rooftop terrace offers panoramic views of the stupa, especially magical at sunrise or under the soft glow of butter lamps in the evening. Whether you’re on a spiritual journey or just looking for a peaceful escape, this former monastery turned boutique hotel is a true hidden gem. A rare blend of culture, comfort, and sacred history—I couldn’t recommend it more.
