Decent Stay Near Pashupatinath Temple — Some Improvements Needed We stayed at Travel Inn Kathmandu mainly for its convenient location — it’s within walking distance from Pashupatinath Temple, which was perfect for our early morning darshan. The hotel is clean and seems ideal for group trips and pilgrim guests. We were 4 people and booked 2 rooms with breakfast and dinner included. The rooms were decent and clean, but unfortunately, the AC in our room wasn’t cooling properly. Since we were out most of the day, we managed, but at night it became a little uncomfortable. Though we informed the staff several times and they came to check, the issue would temporarily get fixed and then repeat after an hour. We also mentioned this at the front desk during check-out and suggested they service their AC units regularly. Another thing to note — the restaurant is operated separately from the hotel. In Nepal, we noticed most places offer limited breakfast options like paratha or aloo sabji with puri. Also, during both breakfast and dinner, we had to wait at least half an hour for our food to arrive, which was a bit inconvenient. It would be good if the hotel could clearly inform guests about their breakfast arrangement at the time of check-in and maybe provide a coupon or voucher system for smoother coordination with the restaurant. Overall, it’s a good, budget-friendly option for those visiting Pashupatinath Temple, but a few areas like AC maintenance, quicker restaurant service, and better meal coordination could improve the guest experience.
