How does the payout work?
Oct 19, 2023

Baisyo makes renting effortless, so anyone can become a host and make extra money by renting their space in Basiyo. To get paid, every host should set up one payout method. Twenty-four hours after the guest checks into your property, the fund is available for withdrawal from your account.
The payout process in Basiyo typically involves the following steps:
STEP 1: Guest Payment
- When guests book a place on Basiyo, they must pay at least 20% (or the full amount) of the reservation's total, including the nightly rate, cleaning fees, and additional charges, if any.
STEP 2: Holding the Payment:
- Once the host confirms the guest's booking, Basiyo holds the funds until 24 hours after the guest's scheduled check-in time, allowing for a resolution period in case any issues or disputes arise.
- The Basiyo team reviews all transactions before they're sent. Reviews are part of the standard processes that Basiyo conducts to prevent fraud and comply with regulations. The review process could sometimes result in funds being delayed or paused.
STEP 3: Host Payout:
- Withdrawal: After the 24-hour holding period, the host can initiate the payout process to transfer the balance from Basiyo to their account. The time it takes for the funds to reach the host's account may vary depending on the payout method chosen by the host. Standard payout methods include direct deposit in one of their bank account.
- Payout Timing: The payout timing can differ depending on the payout methods. Payout via direct deposit in a bank account might take 3-5 business days.
- Service Fee: Basiyo deducts a 12% service fee from the guest's payment before transferring the payout to the host. This fee covers the cost of using the Basiyo platform. Furthermore, the financial institution or payout method you use to get your money may charge an additional fee(s).
